On Saturday, keep the candle of God's Light steady within your heart;

In plain words

Saturday: keep the little lamp of the One's light burning steady inside your heart, its flame never wavering.

When you do, a brightness fills you — shining out from the inside, lighting up both your inner world and everything you do.

And in that light, the whole heavy tangle of old actions and their weight simply dissolves. You feel clean, clear, and free.

Keep the little lamp of the One's light burning steady inside you, and it fills you with brightness — dissolving the whole heavy weight of the past.
The deeper layer

thaavar (Saturday, Saturn’s day — thir = steady, a natural wordplay): thir kar raakhai so-ay — keep it steady. jot dee vatee ghat meh jo-ay — keep the jot (light), the dee vatee (lamp’s wick/flame), burning in the ghat (heart). baahar bheetar bha-i-aa pargaas — the light shines baahar (outward) and bheetar (inward). tab hoo-aa sagal karam kaa naas — then the whole weight of karam (past actions/karma) dissolves. Rendered as the tangle and heaviness of old actions lifting away — a release, not a punishment. Saturday’s keynote of steadiness fits the steady-flame image perfectly.

A Question to Sit With

What is one steady, small thing that keeps your inner 'light' burning even on hard days?
