Verse 2 speaks with loving urgency of the rareness of human life — plant the Name's seed now, in this fortunate season, lest the soul go hungry later. Verse 3 grounds all in belonging and guidance: You belong to all, all belong to You; nothing is in anyone's hands; all walk as You cause them. Verse 4 delivers the sharp, vital teaching: some sing through ragas and the Vedas in many ways, but the One is not pleased by these if the heart is false — for the Creator knows everything; only the pure-hearted obtain the One.

v.4 — the anti-performance teaching. SSK is explicit that ragas, Naad, and Vedic recitation do not please the One if inward fraud remains. Crucially this is not anti-music or anti-scripture (Aasaa is itself sung) but anti-pretense; the children's section frames it precisely as "being real beats being showy," never as a rejection of singing or learning (voice rule: never frame devotional practice negatively).
v.2 — "what will the hungry soul eat hereafter." The afterlife-hunger image rendered as a gardener's nudge about planting-season, not a fear of punishment.
