In plain words

Searching and searching, I heard the news: without the company of the holy, no one swims across.

The one with this good fortune written on their brow finds the true Guru.

Their hopes are fulfilled, their mind content. When you meet the One, the thirst is quenched. Nanak has found the One, within his own mind and body.

The thirst nothing could quench is filled by the One — found, in the end, within you.
The deeper layer

The resolution: "without the Saadh Sangat, no one swims across." The thirst that no pleasure could quench is finally satisfied through the company of the holy and the meeting with the One — found at last "within his mind and body." The infinite longing is filled not by more things but by the infinite One, discovered within.

A Question to Sit With

What might fill you in a way that lasts, instead of leaving you wanting more?
