Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Your beautiful presence is where my mind feels at home.

Drinking in that sweetness, I've found the only wealth I need.

Home isn't a place but where your heart rests — and the richest thing isn't money but the sweetness of love.
The deeper layer

The Pause names where Ravi Daas's heart lives: Your lotus feet are the home of my mind — his thoughts rest in the beautiful presence of the One the way you rest at home. And what he's found there is the only wealth he wants: drinking in Your Nectar, I have obtained the wealth of the Lord. For a cobbler who had little in the way of worldly riches, this is a quiet triumph — he's found a sweetness and a richness that has nothing to do with money or status, and it's completely his. For a child, it's a lovely picture of true home and true wealth: home isn't a place, it's where your heart rests; and the richest thing you can have isn't money, but the sweetness of love. Ravi Daas the poor cobbler was, in the way that counts, wonderfully rich.

A Question to Sit With

Where does your mind feel most 'at home'? What's a richness that has nothing to do with money?
