Verse 2 of 3

To Taste the Nectar Is to Taste His Love Directly

ਦਰਸਨ ਪਰਸਨ ਸਰਸਨ ਹਰਸਨ ਰੰਗਿ ਰੰਗੀ ਕਰਤਾਰੀ ਰੇ ॥੧॥
darsan parsan sarsan harsan rang rangee kartaaree ray. ||1||
Beholding it, and touching it, I am sweetened and delighted. It is imbued with the Creator's Love. ||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Beholding it and touching it, I am sweetened and delighted.

It is imbued with the Creator's Love.

To taste the river of nectar is to taste the One's love directly.
The deeper layer

The Nectar is experienced, not just believed: "beholding it, and touching it, I am sweetened and delighted." It carries "the Creator's Love" — to taste it is to taste the One's love directly. The river is love made drinkable.

A Question to Sit With

What sweetness have you tasted that was really love made tangible?
