Beautiful is the Supreme Lord and Master — and beautiful is the Word of the Guru's Bani.
By great good fortune one meets the True Guru, and the supreme state of Nirvaana is reached.
This opening line says the One is beautiful, and so are the Guru's words.
The word beautiful comes twice: "roorho thaakur maahro roorhee gurbaanee" — beautiful is my Master, and beautiful is Gurbani, the Guru's Word. Not mighty. Not scary. Beautiful. The song shares the beauty of the One it sings about.
Think of a song you love. Nobody has to make you hum it. It pulls you in. That is how this whole shabad (hymn) walks the path: we are drawn by beauty, not pushed by fear.
The second line says we meet the True Guru "vadai bhaag" — by great good fortune. It is like a surprise gift, not a paycheck you earned. It lands on people who could never deserve it, yet are deeply loved. And it brings the highest state, called Nirvaana here: the place where the fire of always wanting more finally goes out.
What is the most beautiful thing you know — and what does it pull you toward?
