In plain words

The dealers in this merchandise come from afar — those to whom the Name is dear.

The one who turns Guru-ward obtains the wealth — carrying the Shabad's reflection deep within.

Love of the goods is the only trading license this market checks.
The deeper layer

Guru Amar Das is saying: in this market, love for the goods is the only pass you need.

He pictures a trading post. Aavahi is raasee kay vaapaaree-ay — the traders come for this stock. The stock is the Name. And you can spot these traders by one thing: the Name is dear to them. Love is the only pass checked at this market. No other qualification counts.

The true traders travel to where the true goods are: the Sangat, the gathering of good people, and the Guru's door. What they carry home they carry antar, within, as they think deeply on the Shabad. Think of a song you know by heart. No one can take it from you. No border guard, no robber, not even death can inspect these goods.

A Question to Sit With

What do you love enough to travel for, wait for, and carry with you everywhere?
