Those whose consciousness remains committed to His Service - blessed is their birth and their coming into the world. ||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The very same One made the whole wide world, and looks after all of it.

And the ones who keep their hearts turned toward that One — how lucky they are to have been born at all.

The One who made everything also looks after everything — and a life turned toward that is a blessed one.
The deeper layer

The Patti Likhi — the 'written tablet' — is a poem built on the alphabet, the way a child first learns letters on a school slate. Each verse opens with a letter and turns it into a lesson. The first letter, Sassa, opens the whole poem where everything begins: the One who made the world and remains its Master. And immediately the poem's warmth shows — those who keep their hearts turned toward that One are called blessed to have been born. Before any rule or warning, the very first note struck is that your life is a gift and turning toward the Source is what makes it shine.

A Question to Sit With
