The One set up the whole world like a giant game board across all the ages of time.
Every creature is a piece in the game — and the One is the one rolling the dice.
The letter Babba gives the poem its most playful, mind-stretching image: the One set out to play a game on the chess-board of the four ages, with all beings as chessmen and the One throwing the dice. It sounds heavy — are we just game pieces? — but the spirit is lighter than that: existence is a play (leela), a great unfolding game the Maker delights in, and you are in the game, part of the fun, not a forgotten spectator. It also quietly loosens our grip: you don't have to control every move of a game this vast. You get to play, wholeheartedly, and trust the One who set it up.
What would change if you treated a hard day like a game to play rather than a test to survive?
