In the end, each of us lives out what we're drawn to — but our path isn't fixed forever.
Kabir says: meet true wisdom, and the endless circling finally stops.
However lost someone is, real wisdom can turn them around.
After all his sharp words, Kabir ends with hope, not blame. Jit ko laa-i-aa tit hee laagaa — each person is drawn to what the One has drawn them to, taisay karam kamaavai, and acts that way. We are each shaped by our pulls and habits. Changing is not always easy.
But the door is always open. Kaho kabeer jis satgur bhaytai punrap janam na aavai — Kabir says, whoever meets the True Guru does not have to come around again. The long circle of being born again and again can stop.
Even the pretenders, even the proud, even the most lost can be turned around. It is like a runner going round and round a track who finally sees the finish line. Kabir is fierce about calling out fakes, but he never gives up on anyone.
Is anyone ever too far gone to change? What might help someone turn around?
