The truly great person is the humble one who trusts the flow of life and finds peace in it.
Whatever comes, they accept it as part of a bigger goodness, and keep their heart steady.
Kabir says the truly well-off person is not the one with the most stuff. It is the one with the most peace.
Who is really great? Not the one in silks. It is the humble servant of the One. Aagi-aa man sukh paa-ee — they follow the One's command and find peace.
Jo tis bhaavai sat kar maanai — whatever pleases the One, they accept as true. They keep the One's Will, the flow of life, in their heart. Whatever comes, their heart stays steady.
This is not being lazy or giving up. It is a kind of strength. Think of a tree with deep roots. The wind blows it this way and that, but it does not fall over.
Here is the answer to the unequal lives at the start of the shabad. Contentment is a richness no silk can buy and no hard times can take away. The truly wealthy person is the peaceful one.
Who seems 'richer' to you — someone with lots of things but always wanting more, or someone content with enough?
