The Pull Lives in Your Heart Only by Invitation

In plain words

The pull holds a person only as long as they let it live in their heart.

Kabir says: by grace, I saw through it and crossed over easily.

The tempting pull lives in your heart only by invitation — see through it clearly, and letting go becomes easy.
The deeper layer

This one says the pull stays in your heart only if you invite it in.

Kabir ends simply. As long as she lives with a person, that person stays tied down. The pull is not fastened on from the outside. It lives inside only as a guest. When you stop feeding it, it leaves.

Then comes his own ending. Gur parsaad sahj taray kabeeraa — by the Guru's kindness, Kabir crossed over easily.

That word "easily" matters. Getting free of the pull is not a grim fight. Think of waking from a scary dream. In the dream it felt huge. Once your eyes open, it is gone, and you feel light. See clearly, and you cross over easily.

A Question to Sit With

What might it feel like to let go of a worry or craving easily, once you saw it clearly?
