The Name of the One is my only support.
You are the Great Giver, the Doer, the Creator.
When you have nothing worthy to offer, the Name itself becomes your only support.
When we have nothing worthy to bring, the Name holds us up.
This is the Rahao, the "pause" line at the center of the shabad. It answers the question just before it. Naam tayraa aadhaar — Your Name is my support. Naam, the Name, means remembering the One. Aadhaar means support, like the ground under your feet.
I come with empty hands. I lean on the One who is daataa, the Great Giver. Think of a small child crossing a stream on a parent's shoulders. The child carries nothing and is carried the whole way.
