that His Name may sanctify you, that His Name may be your study, and His Name your wisdom and way of life. ||1||Pause||

In plain words

O learned one, hold the One in mind like this:

let the Name itself make you pure. Let the Name be your study. Let it be your wisdom and your whole way of living.

Real learning is when the Name becomes not just your study but your whole way of living.
The deeper layer

This one says real learning is when the Name becomes the way you live, not just words in your head.

This is the rahaa-o, the "pause" line, the center of the shabad. Guru Nanak speaks to a paanday, or pandit, a learned religious teacher. Aisaa barahm beechaar means "think about the One like this."

Naamay such means "let the Name make you pure." Naamo parhao means "let the Name be what you study." Naamay chaj aachaar means "let the Name be your wisdom and your way of life."

Think of learning to ride a bike. You can read a whole book about balance. But you only really know it when you are riding. Knowledge that stays in the head goes nowhere. Knowledge that shapes how you live is the kind that makes you pure.

A Question to Sit With

Is there something you know a lot about but don't actually live by?
