But the calf has already tasted the milk - how can I use it for the Lord, O Siblings of Destiny? ||3||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

I cook sweet pudding from milk to feed the One —

but the calf has already drunk from that milk first. How can I use it for the One?

Three times he tries to offer something 'untouched,' and three times finds it already full of life — because everything is already holy.
The deeper layer

Everything Naam Dayv reaches for is already holy.

His third try: aaneelay doodh reedhaa-eelay kheeran — I bring milk and cook a sweet pudding to feed the One. But the calf has already drunk from that milk first.

Three times now, with water, flowers, and milk, Naam Dayv reaches for something pure and untouched. Three times he finds it already touched by life and already full of the One.

He is not upset. He is delighted. He is finding out that the world does not split into "holy gifts" and "ordinary stuff." Everything already belongs to the One, already alive, already shared. It is like making a birthday card for someone and finding they are already in every picture you draw. Each small "failure" is really the happiest discovery: everything is already holy.

A Question to Sit With

What does it tell you that everything Naam Dayv picks up is already touched by life and the One?
