The Arc
This shabad carries two Pauses. Pauri 0: living off constant gifts while denying the Giver hollows a life out. The first Rahao (Pauri 1) is the turning-point — how sad to turn from the One who gave us breath, and so wander lost. Pauri 2: cut off from the guiding thread, choices tangle. Pauri 3: the One who made our very self is the one easiest to forget. Pauri 4 pivots hard toward rescue — even a long ledger of missteps is answered by the sukh saagar, the ocean of peace. The Second Pause (Pauri 5, rahaao doojaa) lands the whole shabad in refuge: rest in the One's care, and the Name carries you across.
