O Nanak, they merge into the Lord, and their doubts are cast away. ||4||11||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Those whose hearts hold the One day and night are complete. They melt into the One, and their doubts fall away.

A heart that holds the One day and night becomes whole, and its doubts dissolve.
The deeper layer

Hold the One in your heart day and night, and you become whole.

Ahinis raam ridai say pooray — those who keep the One in their hearts day and night are complete. Ahinis means day and night. Pooray means whole.

Naanak raam milay bharam dooray — says Nanak, they meet the One, and their bharam, doubt, is cast away. Doubt is the same block named all through these shabads.

Think of a plant that gets sunlight every single day, not just once in a while. It grows full and strong. Being whole comes from keeping the One close all the time.

A Question to Sit With

What is one thing you would like to hold in mind steadily, day and night?
