Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Greet the kind and wise-hearted with real warmth and respect. Do this, and you'll find yourself rich beyond measure — a peace so deep it can't be weighed.

Treating good-hearted people with real warmth opens a peace too deep to measure.
The deeper layer

Honor good people with warmth, and a treasure of peace opens up.

Har santan kar namo namo — bow again and again to the sant, the good-hearted people of the One. Na-o nidh paavahi atul sukho — you will receive the na-o nidh, the nine treasures, and atul sukh, peace too great to weigh. Atul means it cannot be put on a scale.

Honoring the good is itself the doorway to the treasure. Think of greeting your grandparents with a real hug. The warmth comes back to you as something no money could buy. The deepest good things cannot be measured.

A Question to Sit With

How do you treat the kindest people you know — and how do they make you feel?
