Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Every shape and color comes from the One. Air, water, and fire are all held together by it. And the One delights in watching all the many colors it has made.

Every shape and color flows from the One, who beholds them all.
The deeper layer

Every shape and color in the world comes from the One, and the One enjoys watching them all.

Aykas tay sabh roop heh rangaa — from the One come all forms and colors. Pa-un paanee baisantar sabh sahlangaa — air, water and baisantar, fire, are all held together. These are the same elements our own bodies are made of.

Bhinn bhinn vaykhai har parabh rangaa — the One looks upon all the many different colors. Think of a painter stepping back to smile at a canvas full of every color. The One is both the source of all this variety and the One who delights in watching it.

A Question to Sit With

What variety in the world fills you with wonder when you really look at it?
