Like a swan gliding on its own bright lake, let your spirit rest in its true home. Time passes for every body — so drink deeply, now, of the sweetest thing there is: the living presence of the One.
Your spirit has a true home, like a swan on its lake, so enjoy the One right now.
Hansaa sarvar — the swan on the lake. The swan is the soul, happy and at home where it belongs.
Kaal sareer reminds us that the body belongs to time. Every body grows older.
But Kabir's last word is an invitation, not a worry. Raam rasaa-in pee-o ray kabeer — drink the sweet nectar of the One, Kabir. That ras, that sweetness, runs through all of these Kabir shabads.
Think of a cold glass of lemonade on a hot day. You do not save it for later. You drink it now. Be close to the One now, instead of worrying about later.
What is something so good that you'd want to enjoy it fully right now, instead of putting it off?
