In plain words

So where *is* heaven, then? Says Kabir, who can I even tell this to? It's the good company — the fellowship of loving, awake hearts gathered together. Being among people who lift each other toward the One: that, right here, is paradise.

Heaven isn't a faraway place — it's the good company of hearts that lift each other toward the One.
The deeper layer

Heaven is the good company that lifts you toward the One.

Kaho kabeer ih kahee-ai kaahi — says Kabir, who can I tell this to? Then he says it anyway. Saadhsangat baikunthay aahi — the saadhsangat is heaven. Saadhsangat means the company of good, holy people, gathered together.

With one line, Kabir moves paradise. It is no longer a faraway place. It is a relationship, right now: being among people who turn one another toward the One. Think of a group of friends who make you kinder just by being with them. Heaven becomes something you can walk into today, together. It is not a prize you earn alone, for later.

A Question to Sit With

Who are the people who bring out the best in you and make you want to be kinder and more awake?
