Something in me feels it will never truly be lost, the way the passing world seems to be — because I've met the One who gives all life. When you touch that living Source, a deep part of you knows it belongs to something that doesn't end.
Kabir has met the One who gives all life, and so he feels a deep part of himself will never be lost.
This is the Rahao, the "pause" line at the center of the shabad. It is the bright heart of the song. Mai na mara-o maribo sansaaraa — I will not die the way the world dies. Ab mohi mili-o hai jee-aavanhaaraa — for now I have met the Life-giver. Jee-aavanhaaraa means the One who gives life to everything.
This is the note that never dies, and all of Kabir's verses here build toward it. Meeting the One brings a feeling of being safe. The soul belongs to what lasts.
Think of a wave on the ocean. The wave rises and falls. But the wave was always water, and the water is still there.
The heart of this line is comfort and hope. It is warm and reassuring.
What is something inside you that feels bigger and steadier than everyday worries?
