In plain words

Most people love to pile up money and possessions. The student loves to meet and embrace the teacher. And I love to bow at the feet of the holy.

Some pile up possessions; the devotee's treasure is simply being near the teacher.
The deeper layer

The shabad ends by setting two loves side by side: piling things up, and simply being near the good.

Most people love to collect money and possessions. The GurSikh, the Guru's student, loves to meet the Guru and hug him close. And Guru Ram Das names his own love. He loves the dust of the feet of the saadh, the holy ones.

Think of a kid who stops collecting game points and would rather sit beside a grandparent who tells good stories.

The whole shabad has been a list of loves. It ends with the humblest one, which is also the highest: bowing at the feet of the holy.

A Question to Sit With

What do you "collect"? What would it mean to treasure people over things?
