Gauree Gwaarayree, Fourth Mehl:
har aapay jogee dandaaDhaaree.
The Lord Himself is the Yogi, who wields the staff of authority.
har aapay rav rahi-aa banvaaree. har aapay tap taapai laa-ay taaree. ||1||
The Lord Himself practices tapa - intense self-disciplined meditation; He is deeply absorbed in His primal trance. ||1||

The One itself is the yogi holding the staff. The One itself does the deep discipline, lost in its own first, timeless stillness.
The One itself is the yogi, the discipline, and the stillness -- in this litany there is no second.
A sustained aapay (He Himself) litany -- Ram Das's great non-dual hymn. Every role is the One playing all parts: the yogi, the hermit, absorbed in the primal trance. In this litany there is no second doing anything. The seeming many are the One's self-play.
