By great good fortune, I received the Blessed Vision of the Guru's Darshan. Blessed, blessed is the Guru, who has led me to love the Lord. ||1||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Through the teaching, a music with no instrument begins to sound, and the mind sings along. By great good fortune I received the sight of the teacher. Blessed, blessed is the teacher, who led me to love the One.
Through the teaching, an unstruck music begins to sound and the mind sings along.
The Anhad Shabad -- the unstruck music -- resounds through the Guru's teachings, and the mind sings. The darshan of the Guru, by good fortune (grace), opens this. Realization heard as inner music (cf. the unstruck melody elsewhere).
A Question to Sit With
Have you ever felt a quiet "music" of contentment rise in you for no outward reason?
