Drop the Clever Schemes; Hold to the Holy

and hold tight to the Feet of the Saints. ||2||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Stay attentive to the One, and you will be honored at its door. Drop all your clever tricks and schemes, and hold tight to the feet of the holy.

Drop the clever schemes; stay attentive and hold to the company of the holy.
The deeper layer

Two moves: constant attention to the One brings honor, and giving up cleverness (cf. cleverness as weightless) for the humble holding of the Saints' feet. Cleverness is replaced by attention and humility.

A Question to Sit With

Where do you over-rely on cleverness instead of steadiness and good company?
