His Beauty Shows Up Quietly in Every Heart

ਸਭ ਤੇ ਊਚ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਦਰਬਾਰੁ ॥
sabh tay ooch jaa kaa darbaar.
The Darbaar of His Court is the most exalted of all.
ਸਗਲ ਭਗਤ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਧਾਰੁ ॥
sagal bhagat jaa kaa naam aDhaar.
His Name is the Support of all His devotees.
ਸਰਬ ਬਿਆਪਿਤ ਪੂਰਨ ਧਨੀ ॥

His Glory is manifest in each and every heart. ||2||

In plain words

The One's presence is the highest of all — greater than any court or throne. Its Name is what holds up everyone who loves it.

It's woven through everything, complete and whole, and its beauty shows up quietly in every single heart.

The One's beauty isn't locked in one holy place — it shows up quietly in every heart.
The deeper layer

The One is higher than any throne, and the One's beauty lives quietly in every heart.

Sabh tay ooch jaa kaa darbaar — the One's darbaar, royal court, is highest of all. Sagal bhagat jaa kaa naam adhaar — the Name is the support of everyone who loves the One. Sarab bi-aapat pooran dhanee — the complete Master fills everything. Jaa kee sobhaa ghat ghat banee — the One's glory shows in ghat ghat, each and every heart.

Ghat ghat is the beautiful center here. The One's beauty is not kept in one holy place. It lives quietly in every being. Think of the sun shining on a thousand puddles. Each one holds the whole sun. This is how close Ik Onkar is: the vast One, found in each heart.

A Question to Sit With

If something beautiful lives in every heart, what might you notice if you looked for it in people?
