The way life works is held in the hands of the One — so let me hold that One in mind, the shelter of everyone who feels they have no shelter.
The moment the One comes to mind, my aches quietly leave. Every fear loosens its grip when I keep the Name.
The One holds all of life, and remembering that One makes fear let go.
Jee-a jugat jaa kai hai haath — the way we live rests in the One's hands. Then comes a much-loved phrase: anaath ko naath. Anaath means someone with no one to protect them. Naath means protector. So the One is the protector of anyone who feels unprotected. That is the gentlest kind of power.
Think of a small child lost in a busy shop. The moment a parent's hand finds theirs, the fear is gone. The verse promises the same. When the One comes to mind, dukh (pain) leaves. Through the Name, every bhai (fear) fades. Fear is not fought off. It is simply outshone, the way a light switched on makes the dark disappear.
Who do you think of when you feel alone, and what changes when you do?
