In plain words

The Complete One needs nothing and depends on no one — the perfect Sovereign. And the one who serves places true trust there.

The complete teaching reaches out a hand and keeps that person safe. The One beyond all limits is all-powerful.

True power is the kind that needs nothing and reaches out a hand to keep you safe.
The deeper layer

True power needs nothing from you, and it reaches out a hand to keep you safe.

Baymuhtaaj means needing nothing and depending on no one. Every human power owes something to someone. The One owes nothing and cannot be pushed around. Pooraa paatisaahu, the Perfect King, shows what real power is. It is not bossing everyone around. It is needing nothing at all.

Gur poorai raakhay day haath — the complete Guru gives a hand and keeps us safe. Picture a friend reaching down to pull you up a steep rock on a hike. Rescue is a hand held out, not a verdict handed down. The shabad ends on samraath, all-powerful. It is a strength you can fully trust.

A Question to Sit With

What is the difference between someone strong who wants something from you and someone strong who simply helps?
