In plain words

All good deeds and righteous living are found in holding the One's Name in mind.

It washes away the stains of wrongs and mistakes.

Be kind to humble Nanak; bless him with sincere love and longing for the One.

All of right living flows from a heart rooted in the One — the good conduct grows naturally from the inner connection, not bolted on from outside. And it all comes back to one plea: give me sincere love.
The deeper layer

This part says that all right living grows out of a heart rooted in the One.

Sabh karam Dharam har naam japaahaa — all good deeds and right living are found in remembering the Name. That doesn't mean outer goodness doesn't matter. It means a heart truly rooted in the One lives rightly by itself. Good actions grow from the inside, like fruit from a healthy tree. They are not glued on from outside.

Kilvikh mail paap Dhovaahaa — the Name washes away the dirt of wrongs and mistakes. That is the cleaning the whole raag has promised.

This closes the eleven shabads by Guru Ram Das in this raag. It ends on the note every one of them has sounded. Dayh naanak naam omaahaa — give Nanak a real love and longing for the Name. That longing has been the raag's heartbeat from the first shabad to the last.

A Question to Sit With

Does being genuinely connected to what's good make you act well naturally, more than just following rules from outside?
