You shall be utterly exalted, the most noble and sublime of all; the whole world will place itself at your feet. ||2||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The earth lies below everyone, yet its dust settles over all. Meeting the holy, let the dust of their feet cover you.

You will become the highest, the very highest of all, and the whole world will come to rest at your feet.

Make yourself low as the dust, and you rise higher than pride ever could.
The deeper layer

Make yourself low like the earth, and you are lifted highest.

The earth, basuDhaa, is the lowest of all, and yet its dust touches everyone. Charan ruleejai, rolling in the dust of the holy people's feet, is Gurbani's picture of humility. Then comes the surprise: at ootam hovhu, you become the most exalted; sabh sisat charan tal, the whole world comes to your feet. Being low lifts you up.

A Question to Sit With

When has being humble and gentle made you stronger, not weaker?
