In plain words

There is only One. And the One is found by the True Guru's grace — a gift that is always here, waiting for an open heart.

The good is the support of my heart and my whole self.

I can't do without it even a moment — I keep it close, guided by wisdom.

The good is what holds your whole self up — as needed and constant as breathing.
The deeper layer

This opens the raag's Ashtapadee (eight-stanza hymn) block. The rahao: "Your Name is the support of my mind and body; I cannot survive a moment without it." The good isn't a hobby — it's what holds a whole life up, needed as constantly as breath. For a child: the good is what holds your whole self up — as needed as breathing.

A Question to Sit With

What holds you up and steadies you every single day?
