O Nanak, one who does not understand the Hukam of the Lord's Command should be called blind. ||3||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

How can someone be called blind, if the One's own order made them blind?

Nanak says: the one who does not understand the Hukam, the flow of existence, is the one to call blind.

The one blindness worth naming is not seeing how life flows.
The deeper layer

One made blind by the One's order carries no blame. The blindness that counts is failing to understand Hukam, the flow of existence, and it has nothing to do with anyone's eyes.

This short Second Mehl shalok closes the group of verses about blindness and ties it to the Vaar's central word.

A Question to Sit With

What is one way life works that you are still learning to see?
