The Shushmanaa, the central spinal channel, is intuitively balanced, and the drinker drinks in this wine. ||1||

In plain words

Make wisdom the sweet molasses, meditation the flowers, and loving awe of the One the fire kept in your mind.

The calm channel of the breath settles into easy balance, and the drinker drinks this wine.

Your own best inner qualities can brew a joy nothing outside you can.
The deeper layer

New ingredients go into the same inner brew: wisdom (gian) is the molasses, meditation (dhian) is the flower, and reverent awe (bhau) is the gentle fire. Here bhau means wonder and respect, not fear. The balanced, calm self is the one who drinks in the joy.

A Question to Sit With

Which do you find calmer — rushing, or slowing down to pay attention?
