Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
God, the Knower, knows everything.
The One is with those who love, all the way through, like thread woven through cloth.
Those who sing of their God with joy and delight —
Nanak says: death's messenger does not even come near them.
The One is woven through you like thread through cloth.
Ot pot — warp and weft, thread through thread — is a picture of total closeness: the One woven right through those who love. Jam is death's messenger, and he does not come near those who sing with joy.
A Question to Sit With
What is a joy so full that, while you're in it, nothing can scare you?
