Ones who contemplate on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, and keep Him enshrined in their hearts,
ਤਿਨ ਜਮੁ ਨੇੜਿ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਗੁਰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥੧੪॥

the Messenger of Death does not even approach them; O, the Guru's Sikhs are the Guru's Beloveds! ||14||

Those who hold the One in their hearts —
the end cannot even come near them; the students are the teaching's own beloveds.
A heart living in the deathless One is beyond the reach of the fear everyone else lives under.
The bright counterpart to P12: those who keep the One "enshrined in their hearts" are so anchored in the deathless that "the Messenger of Death does not even approach them." Not that they don't die, but that the fear of death has no hold on a heart already living in the One. And they are "the Guru's Beloveds" — cherished. The remembering heart is beyond the reach of the very terror everyone else lives under.
A Question to Sit With
What fear loosens its grip when your heart is anchored in something that doesn't die?
