O Lord, that alone is Praise to You, which is pleasing to Your Will, O Lord God.

Those Gurmukhs, who serve their Beloved Lord, obtain Him as their reward. ||6||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
The only praise that counts, One, is the praise that pleases Your Will.
Those who face the teaching and serve their Beloved receive the Beloved as their reward.
The reward for seeking the One isn't a thing but the One itself — the point of loving is simply more love.
A subtle, important verse: "that alone is Praise... which is pleasing to Your Will." Not all praise is equal — the praise that counts is the kind offered in alignment with the One's Will, not to impress or to bargain. And the "reward" for such service is not a thing but the Beloved itself: "they obtain Him." The point of loving is more love; the reward for seeking the One is the One.
A Question to Sit With
When you do good or give praise, is it to get something, or is the closeness itself the reward?
