Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Even the fear of endings can't find me now; I've taken up a way of living that's simply true.
I've earned a kind of wealth that never runs out no matter how much I spend it — the treasure of the Name.
The devotee, protected, describes their real security: not the slanderer's defeat, but their own inner wealth. "The wealth, the jewel of the Lord's Name; eating and spending, it is never used up" is a beautiful paradox — most treasures shrink as you use them; this one grows. Love, kindness, connection to the One: the more you draw on them, the more there is. Standing on that, even the fear of death ("the noose of death cannot see me") loses its grip.
Can you think of something that actually increases when you give it away, instead of running out?
