Jag supnaa baajee banee — the world is a show, set in a dream. Khin meh khayl khaylaa-ay — in a moment, the play is played out. Calling life a play is one of Gurbani's favorite pictures. It doesn't mean life is silly. It means life is bigger than any one person's story.
Some meet the One. Others leave still apart. That isn't a judgment. It's just what happens. Some notice the One while they're in the play. Others leave still thinking they're on their own. Both are part of the same show.
Some Hindu thinkers also compared the world to a dream. So do some modern thinkers, who say the world we all share is partly built by our minds. What is real is the awareness underneath.
