In plain words

The ointment of spiritual wisdom is the destroyer of fear. Through love, the Pure One is seen.

The mysteries of the seen and the unseen are all known, if the mind is kept centered and balanced.

If one finds such a True Guru, the Lord is met with intuitive ease.

The ointment of wisdom destroys fear, and the centered mind sees both the seen and the unseen clearly.
The deeper layer

Gian anjanu (ointment of wisdom) as the destroyer of fear: the traditional image of eye-ointment that opens the vision, here used as the antidote to fear. Wisdom applied to the eye of perception clears the sight that fear distorts.

'The mysteries of the seen and the unseen are all known if the mind is centered and balanced' — jugat (balance, order). The balanced, centered mind can access both dimensions of reality: what is visible and what is not. The unbalanced mind sees neither clearly.

A Question to Sit With

What does a centered and balanced mind feel like for you? When do you access it most easily? What disturbs it most?
