In plain words

Those humble beings who are in love with the True Guru are pure and true.

They act in harmony with the Will of the True Guru. They shed the poison of ego and corruption.

Those in love with the True Guru shed the poison of ego — their root nature transformed by the color of love.
The deeper layer

Jin har jan saachay sacho raatay, sach mill-ay vadi-aa-ee — those of the Lord's humble servants (har jan) who are truly attuned to (raatay — dyed in, saturated by) the True One receive praise and honor in truth. Raatay (dyed in, saturated by — the color metaphor) — these are the ones whose root nature has been changed through love of the True Guru. They are sacho (truly true) because they have absorbed the True One's color through rang (love, the dye of devotion).

Satgur mani-ai sach baan-ee-ai, vikh haumai jail ga-vaa-ee — abiding in the Will of the True Guru and living in the truth of His Bani, they shed the vikh (poison) of haumai (ego) and corruption (jail — moral corruption, impurity from ego-action). The shedding of ego's poison: not by fighting the ego directly but by being so saturated in the True One's color that there is no room for the ego's poison to remain. The Shabad-dye replaces the ego-poison.

This is the positive counterpart to the poisonous plant image of Pauri 4: where the plant's root nature is poisonous, the Gurmukh's root nature has been transformed through love of the Guru. Same outer world, same outer circumstances — different interior nature. And the fruit is naturally different.

A Question to Sit With

What relationship in your life has genuinely changed who you are — not what you do but who you are at the root?
