In plain words

The Siddhas — the accomplished masters — wander around deluded by Maya. They are not absorbed in the Samaadhi of the Lord's Love.

The three worlds are permeated by Maya. Everything is covered by it.

Without the Guru, liberation is not attained — and the double-mindedness of Maya does not go away.

Even the Siddhas wander deluded by Maya — without the Guru, liberation is not attained and duality's delusion remains.
The deeper layer

This one says that even people with great spiritual powers still need the Guru.

Maa-i-aa bhoolay sidh fireh: the Siddhas wander, fooled by maya. Siddhas were spiritual masters known for amazing powers, won through years of hard practice. Samaadh na lagai subhaa-ay: they don't sink into samaadh, the deep, quiet stillness of the One's love. This doesn't make light of what they achieved. It points to a limit. Even great skill doesn't reach the One's sweetness, because that needs the Guru, not just advanced practice. Think of a top athlete who can run a mountain trail at full speed but still needs someone who knows the way home.

Teenay lo-a vi-aapat hai: maya spreads through all three worlds, adhik rahee laptaa-ay, wrapping everything up. Maya is often described as working in three moods: restless wanting, dull laziness, and calm goodness. Even the calm, good mood still belongs to maya. So even the Siddhas' great powers sit inside these three moods. Without the Guru, they can't carry anyone past them.

Bin gur mukat na paa-ee-ai: without the Guru, freedom isn't found. Naa dubidhaa maa-i-aa jaa-ay: the dubidhaa, the two-mindedness maya brings, doesn't go away. This is maya's main trick. The mind treats the One and the world as equally real. It swings between them and never fully commits to the One. Only the Guru settles this.

A Question to Sit With

Have you ever achieved something impressive that didn't actually bring you the peace you thought it would — and what does that tell you about what you were really seeking?
