In plain words

Those who take the Truth as their food and the Truth as their clothing — they have their home in the True One.

They constantly praise the True One. In the True Word of the Shabad, they have their dwelling.

They recognize the Lord, the Supreme Soul, in all of creation — and through the Guru's Teachings, they dwell in the home of their own inner self.

Those whose food is Truth and clothing is Truth recognize the Lord in all creation — and through the Guru's Teachings, they dwell in the home of their own inner self.
The deeper layer

Sach bhojanaa, sach kaprhaa, sach sach ghar vaasaa — taking the Truth as food (sach bhojanaa), the Truth as clothing (sach kaprhaa), with the True One as their dwelling (sach ghar vaasaa). One of the most beautiful images in the GGS: Truth as food (what sustains you), Truth as clothing (what covers and protects you), Truth as home (where you live). These three — food, clothing, shelter — are the basics of physical survival. Here they are transposed into the spiritual register: the soul's survival, nourishment, protection, and dwelling are all sach (Truth).

Sach salaahnaa sach simranaa, sach sabad pargaasaa — constantly praising the True One (sach salaahnaa), always in remembrance of the True One (sach simranaa), illuminated by the True Shabad (sach sabad pargaasaa). Three activities, all suffused with sach: praise, remembrance, illumination. The word sach appears seven times in these two lines — the repetition itself enacting what it describes: the total immersion in Truth.

Sabh mah atam raam pachhaan-ee, gur kee sikh sunaasaa — they recognize (pachhaan-ee) the Lord, the Supreme Soul (atam raam), in all (sabh mah); they abide in the inner home (sunaasaa — inner dwelling, home of the self) through the Guru's Teachings. The recognition of the atam raam in all beings is the fruit of Truth-as-food and Truth-as-clothing. When Truth is sustenance and protection, the eyes open to the divine in everything and everyone.

A Question to Sit With

What would it mean to 'eat Truth' — to take Truth as genuine sustenance? What is the Truth you are currently most nourished by?
