In plain words

I fall at His Feet to please and appease Him.

The True Guru has united me with the Lord, the Primal Being.

There is no other as great as He.

I fall at His Feet — the True Guru has united me with the Lord, the Primal Being, and there is no other as great as He.
The deeper layer

The rahao is a gesture: charan lagaa-i-aa — I fall at His Feet (charan — feet, lagaa-i-aa — attached myself to, applied myself to). Not standing before the divine as an equal making a request, not approaching as a philosopher analyzing the divine — falling at the Feet. The posture of complete humility and complete trust. The devotee who falls at the Feet has given up the negotiating position and placed the whole self in the Lord's care.

Satgur-i Prabh-u milaai-aa — the True Guru has united me (milaai-aa — caused union) with God (Prabh-u), the Primal Being (aad-i pur-kh). The Guru as the agent of union — the same role described across the Mehl 3 and Mehl 1 ashtapadees. The Guru does not teach you to find God; He effects the union.

Tis-s jaiaa avar na ko-ee — there is no other as great as He (avar na ko-ee — no other at all, none like Him). The comparison that ends the comparison: once the comparison is made complete, it is recognized as no comparison at all. The Lord has no peer. Falling at His Feet is falling at the feet of the Only One.

A Question to Sit With

What does it mean to fall at someone's feet — to completely let go of your own position and place yourself in another's care? When have you done that, and what happened?
