Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

You Yourself created everything — and You Yourself give everyone their work and their role.

You are pleased looking at Your own creation and its greatness.

There is nothing beyond You. You are the True Lord. You are in all places at once.

O Saints, meditate on that Lord — He will rescue and save you.

You created everything and gave everything its role — and in You there is nothing that is not the Lord.
The deeper layer

The Lord's self-sufficiency

Āp āp jano deh, āp āp kāraj sahj — "You Yourself created all; You Yourself delegate the tasks." The Pauree describes a creation that is entirely self-generated and self-managed by the Lord. There is no outside force He is responding to, no external necessity He is meeting. He creates from abundance, not need. He delegates from wisdom, not requirement.

Āp dekhay mohi'ā, āp āpan vaḏiā'ī — "You Yourself are pleased, beholding Your Own Glorious Greatness." The Lord's pleasure in His creation is not ego — it is the natural satisfaction of a generous creator who sees the beauty of what was made. The created world is an expression of the divine's goodness, and the divine recognizes its own goodness in it.

"Nothing at all beyond You"

Har tujh bin avar na ko'ī, tu sacchā sāhibu — "O Lord, there is nothing at all beyond You. You are the True Lord." The Vaar keeps returning to this structural point: nothing outside, nothing competing, nothing that is not the Lord's creation and under the Lord's care. The saints are invited to meditate on this — not as an abstract statement but as the most practical reality available.

A Question to Sit With

*What does it feel like to think that whatever role you've been given — in your family, your school, your world — was delegated by the same One who made everything?*
