In plain words

After everything — the terror of the path ahead, the Messenger's power, the Judge who has been watching — Trilochan asks for just one thing.

Not a system. Not a ritual. Not a long list of instructions. If someone is going to teach me anything, he says, let it be this: that the Lord is in the forests and the fields. That He is everywhere in nature, in every piece of the world I can actually see.

If I can learn that — really learn it, feel it in my bones — everything changes. And he closes simply, speaking directly to God: 'You know everything, Lord. I am praying.'

After all that darkness, it ends in prayer. Simple. Nothing left to add.

After all the terror and the weight, Trilochan asks for just one lesson: that the Lord pervades everything, everywhere.
The deeper layer

The closing of Trilochan's shabad is disarming in its simplicity. After the elaborate portrait of Maya's grip, death's power, and the Judge's watching, the resolution is not a grand technique or spiritual system. It is: teach me that You are everywhere. The Lord who pervades forests and fields is the same Lord who runs the accounting of Dharma — if these are one Being, then the beauty of the natural world and the justice of cosmic accountability are not in tension but are aspects of one thing. Trilochan's prayer is one of the most economical in the GGS: 'O Dear Lord, You Yourself know everything.' There is nothing left to add.

A Question to Sit With

If you really felt — not just knew but felt — that God was in every tree and field you've ever walked through, how would that change how you walked?
