My Lord Is Imbued with Love

ਰੰਗਿ ਰਤਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
rang rataa mayraa saahib rav rahi-aa bharpoor. ||1|| rahaa-o.
My Lord and Master is imbued with love; He is totally permeating and pervading all. ||1||Pause||

In plain words

My Lord and Master is soaked in love. He fills and flows through everything.

The divine is not just everywhere — it is *in love* everywhere. That changes what 'everywhere' means.
The deeper layer

This is the pause line, the Rahao, the center of the song. It says the One is everywhere, and is full of love everywhere.

Rang rataa mayraa saahib — my Master is rang rataa, soaked in the color of love. Rav rahi-aa bharpoor — He fills everything, all the way to the brim.

The One is not here but missing there. Not more in a temple and less in a kitchen. Everywhere, all of it. That is simple to say and hard to truly believe.

And the One is not just everywhere, like air. The One is in love everywhere. Think of a cloth dipped in dye until every thread is colored. Love is not an extra thing the One sometimes does. It is the color of the One, through and through.

A Question to Sit With

If love were the fundamental quality of reality — not just something that happens between people, but the actual nature of existence — what would that change about how you move through a day?
