In plain words

No one has found Him by stubbornness. Everyone who tried that way grew weary.

Thousands of clever mental tricks were tried — but still, the raw and undisciplined mind does not absorb the Color of the Lord's Love.

By falsehood and deception, none have found Him. Whatever you plant, you shall eat.

The raw mind cannot hold the divine Color — preparation through the Guru's teaching is what makes absorption possible.
The deeper layer

Manmukhee (self-willed stubbornness) produces weariness — everyone who tried to force their way to God through sheer ego-effort grew tired and failed. The raw mind (kachaa — unrefined, undisciplined, not yet processed) cannot hold the Color (rang) of divine Love.

The dye metaphor from Guru Amar Das appears here too: only prepared fabric holds the dye. The raw, undisciplined mind is like unprepared fabric — no matter how much dye you apply, it won't hold. The Guru's teaching is the preparation process.

"Whatever you plant, you shall eat" — the law of consequence: no effort is lost, but also no deception is hidden. You cannot cheat your way to divine union.

A Question to Sit With

Have you ever tried very hard at something and failed repeatedly, then switched approaches and succeeded? What changed when you changed approaches?
