In plain words

Those Gurmukhs who praise the Naam are applauded by everyone.

Grant me their company, God — I am a beggar. This is my prayer.

O Nanak — great is the good fortune of those Gurmukhs who are filled with the Light of the Naam within.

The last word of Mehl 4 in Siree Raag is a prayer for the right company — from which everything else follows.
The deeper layer

The final pauri of the final Mehl 4 shabad in Siree Raag — and its final request is not for liberation, not for union, not for wisdom. It is for the company of those who already have these things.

Main saadh sangat deh Prabh — "Grant me the company of the Holy." This is Guru Ram Das's last word in Siree Raag: the prayer for the right community. Everything else will follow from the right company.

He calls himself vaechaaraa (a beggar, a poor wretch). He has nothing to offer except the sincerity of his asking. And what he is asking for is exactly the right thing: the Sangat of those who carry the Light within them.

A Question to Sit With

If you could choose one thing to pray for — not for yourself specifically, but the one thing that would make everything else possible — what would it be?
