In plain words

The Lord is pervading within and beyond — and yet people think that He is far away.

They are engrossed in clinging desires. Within their hearts there is ego and falsehood.

Without devotion to the Naam, crowds of people come and go. The cycle continues.

He is within and beyond, pervading everything — and still thought to be far. The distance is the fog of desire and ego.
The deeper layer

The proximity paradox again: the Lord is antar baahar ravia-aa (pervading within and beyond) — and they think He is door (far). The distance is entirely perceptual.

The causes of the perceptual error: biaapio trisanaa (engrossed in clinging desires) and antar haumai koor (ego and falsehood within). The desire-ego complex creates the fog that makes the near seem far.

"Crowds of people come and go" — the vast majority, cycling through birth and death, not knowing the Name.

A Question to Sit With

When you feel farthest from the divine — most alone, most lost — what is usually happening in your life at that time? What pattern do you see?
